Dorothy Fitzgerald
Leather Moccasins Bag And Jar Born in Colorado in 1932, Dorothy Fitzgerald is a self-taught painter who, by her own account, has been drawing since she was three years old. Her entire lifelong ambition has been to be an artist. In the early years of her development, she visited major museums in the United States and emerged strongly influenced by the great seventeenth century Baroque still life artists and has an abiding fondness for Vermeer.
Her own work, although reminiscent of these influences, bears the marks of her individuality as an artist. Dorothy's paintings have a vital warmth and richness, and an extraordinarily life-like quality.
