Event description:
Kens uses his very broad brush strokes, and applies the paint very heavy and thick in some spots and thin with canvas showing through in others. He paints scenes of everyday life, that rainy Day New York street scene with the very high gloss varnish to make you feel like you are really in the rain, or the nostalgia of an old truck, tractor or rural buildings of someone's dream of the American past. The scenes people can relate to from their experience traveling through life. As Ken likes to say, "He paints things as he see's them, Children playing in the Creek, on a rail fence or riding a bicycle". He gives the viewer that sense of feeling of being at that place at that moment in time. Ken has a very easy going personality, People enjoy talking and learning about his painting style. He is very patient in explaining what he is trying to accomplish in a painting, when he does a painting demo, if his audience is young children or adults. He makes them feel a part of the process
